Bucketfeet Mosaic Design Challenge

Hi Friends,

I just wanted to share my new design for this week’s Bucketfeet Design Challenge.  The theme is mosaic, and it was super fun working on this!  After spending hours tediously drawing each and every tile shape in this piece, I think I am now seeing the whole world in mosaic!  I chose a spring theme of flowers and butterflies simply because I am anxiously anticipating the upcoming Spring season–I am super excited to start seeing flowers pop up in my yard again.  So here’s a taste of Springtime and Easter for you.  I hope this will inspire some fun Spring sewing projects!  This fabric will be available for sale in approximately two weeks, and will be available in so many fun types of fabric–cotton jersey, cotton, minky, silk, and many more.  So many ideas to be made!  (Wouldn’t this make a cute little Easter dress?) As always, I will keep you posted on the availability–it will be available for sale soon!  In the meantime, what are your plans for Spring and Easter projects?  What will you be sewing?

You can see the design challenge HERE.  If you ‘d like to vote for my design, that is super nice of you!  Just go to the Mosaic Challenge, and scroll down to find my piece.  It’s all randomized, and in a different place for each viewer, so it may take some searching. Thank you!

  1. Love your Butterflies and Flowers Mosaic design! Did you receive any samples printed on the Basic Cotton or Kona Cotton? I’m curious as to which to order for a quilting project. Which weight of these two cottons do you prefer?
