Cut-&-Sew Face Masks

Make your own beautiful mask! My new fat quarter projects, Cut-&-Sew Face Masks, are in the shop. Cute and easy, with no pattern cutting, and no elastic (which is hard to find these days). Just cut and sew. Easy! This 3-layer mask has a filter pocket for filter inserts if desired. Each fat quarter contains all the pieces you need to make your mask. Three layers of fabric make it super durable, and better protects you from all that yucky stuff out there. Available now in my Spoonflower Shop—Find it here: “Face Masks” collection. Adult and children’s sizes available in various styles. I AM WORKING ON MORE FUN MASK DESIGNS, AND WILL POST THEM AS SOON AS I CAN. CHECK BACK OFTEN! Be sure to scroll down for PDF printable sewing instructions below.

My husband requested that I make a mask design for him without a repeating pattern. No pattern??? That’s against my nature…but I think the Heather Gray texture, the tiny black grid for the filter pocket, and the stripe accents make this work. It’s simple, masculine, and the tiny bit of texture and pattern make it so NOT boring! Ordering a few yards to make now. My hubby will be happy with this. This simple one is available in 5 different colors – red, blue, orange, green and yellow. Click on the pick to see the whole collection. 🙂

*NEW* For those of you who need some masks ASAP, I’m sharing the printable pattern for my adult and child 3-layer, fitted, face mask (see below). This way you can make them with your own fabric if you want to! Use the same instructions above for the Cut-and-Sew Face Masks. Make masks, wear masks! Spread the word, not the virus. Best wishes to you!

ANOTHER SIMPLE DIY MASK OPTION: Below is my printable simple style mask pattern. I’ve been making hundreds of these simple ones for a local hospital. People have asked me for this pattern as well, so I decided to draw it up and share it here.
